About me:
Hello! My name is Kayla. And that photo you see is my son, Colton. He's my buddy... Anyways!
First of all, I am flattered and honored that you are interested in my work (and even more flattered that you're taking time to read about me!).
I am a west Michigan Photographer, but LOVE to travel. No destination is too far for me! I am a follower of Jesus and have been a woman of God since I was young. I grew up in the country, and in my opinion, the best location to grow up in! A few years ago I was able to be lucky enough to buy myself a camera and let my passion finally take off.
My photography style is not perfect…. I have always had a passion for capturing the wonderful and natural beauty of the world so I try to combine elements of authenticity, emotional range, and beauty. My goal when working with clients is to not capture the staged smiles and memories, but the true warm and happy natural glow of that special moment in time. I am a roll with the punches type of person and a lot of that flows into my work. My favorite images are the in between moments and details. I love chunky baby thighs and how kids just melt into their parents arms. I am not afraid of looking like a fool to get kids to smile. At the end of most sessions I am a bit winded, but I am a firm believer in always staying a “student” and trying new things.

So here's the thing. I LOVE traveling. Traveling definition to me: 20 minutes or 2000 miles.
Passionate about people
Growing up, I have always put others needs before my own. That being said, my clients are very important to me. I promise to always be a good listener, supporter, and cheer leader!
Prompt and organized
Some people say that being too organized and prompt means that you can't enjoy life. Well, for me this is opposite. I grew up learning to be organized. I grew up learning to be prompt. These are two things my clients will not have to worry about with me. You tell me a time and place, and I will be there.
Purposeful intentions
Okay, now for being a little more serious. I have learned over the years that having purposeful intensions is one of the best things you can show to others. My intensions are meaningful and kind. I want the best for my clients and am willing to do all I can to make our meetings and sessions as pleasant as possible.

Hey there!
My name is Taylor, I am Kayla’s second shooter for Golden Lens Photography, LLC. I started doing photography to find myself again outside of my home. You will find me there to capture moments in time. I enjoy helping by answering questions, hold your bags, help fix your hair and throw your veil for that perfect picture! Photographing the special moments in others lives gives me a sense of purpose and joy.
My name is Melissa, I am also Kayla's second shooter (backup to Taylor!) I began doing this to help Kayla and keep her company besides helping hold things for clients and running around doing activities needed for Wedding Days until Kayla handed me a camera and told me to begin taking photos. Since then, I haven't put one down!
