About me:
Hello! My name is Kayla!
First of all, I am flattered and honored that you are interested in my work (and even more flattered that you're taking time to read about me!).
I am a west Michigan Photographer, but LOVE to travel. No destination is too far for me! I am a follower of Jesus and have been a woman of God since I was young. I grew up in the country, and in my opinion, the best location to grow up in! A few years ago I was able to be lucky enough to buy myself a camera and let my passion finally take off.
My photography style is not perfect…. I have always had a passion for capturing the wonderful and natural beauty of the world so I try to combine elements of authenticity, emotional range, and beauty. My goal when working with clients is to not capture the staged smiles and memories, but the true warm and happy natural glow of that special moment in time. I am a roll with the punches type of person and a lot of that flows into my work. My favorite images are the in between moments and details. I love chunky baby thighs and how kids just melt into their parents arms. I am not afraid of looking like a fool to get kids to smile. At the end of most sessions I am a bit winded, but I am a firm believer in always staying a “student” and trying new things.

Hey there! I'm Tanner. Kayla's husband and second shooter.
I have always liked taking photos but I always just took them on my phone until Kayla came into my life. She being the photographer, began training me with her camera to capture moments with her and our son, Colton. When we got married, Kayla asked if being her second shooter would be something I would like to do. I love being social and helping others, and so of course I said yes! I will be there to help capture those other moments you'll have, while Kayla will be guiding everyone along. Our editing styles are the same(since she edits) so no worries there! I will laugh with you, help you with anything you need, and be that extra person to make your day extra special!
If I cannot be there, Kayla has a few other VERY trusted people who will not let you down when it comes to capturing the moments that matter most.
